Dr. Lionel Maten is a distinguished leader in strategic enrollment management and higher education administration. With a wealth of experience, currently serving as the Assistant Vice Chancellor for Enrollment Management at the University of Mississippi, Dr. Maten has demonstrated a profound commitment to expanding access and fostering innovation in higher education.

Throughout his tenure, Dr. Maten has critical higher education departments focused on access and inclusion such as Admissions, Financial Aid, Student Disability Services, Veteran and Military Services, Luckyday, and Student Housing. He was instrumental in working with a team of professionals to re-imagine the Mississippi Outreach to Scholastic Talent (MOST) Conference, significantly enhancing its impact on underrepresented students. His leadership extended to managing over 5,100 student housing beds and a budget surpassing $28 million, highlighting his expertise in overseeing large-scale operations and budgets.
